Integral to the Master Planning Process is the public process. The City of Miami and EDSA will be conducting a series of stakeholder interviews during the Research and Data Collection phase of the Master Planning Process. At the conclusion of the Research and Data Collection Phase, EDSA will present, in a public forum the preliminary results of this phase of work. During this meeting, EDSA will facilitate on-going public input and feedback of the information presented.
After this initial Community Information Meeting, EDSA will begin the Preliminary Master Planning Phase. During this phase of work, EDSA will develop alternative concepts for the planning of the island. To conclude this phase of work, EDSA will again present the Preliminary Master Plan in a public forum for public input and feedback.
The Final Master Planning Phase will commence after the second Community Information Meeting. During this phase of work, EDSA will develop a Final Master Plan based on input from City of Miami and the stakeholders. Once the Final Master Plan has been completed, EDSA will present at a final Community Information Meeting the results of the Master Plan.
Currently, EDSA has embarked upon the Research and Data Collection phase of the planning process, including the development of a list of stakeholders. The City of Miami and EDSA are planning on finalizing the list of stakeholders and scheduling interviews over the summer with the first public meeting to be held early fall.
