Inspired by Europe’s picturesque cities, the waterfront development creates an Arabian Venice with turquoise lagoons and palm fringed islands. Its abstract infused mashrabiya design includes hotel offerings, unique residential communities, a golf course, and central waterfront marina village with
souk-like retail streets, urban parks, and cafes. The juxtaposition of spaces responds to a seaside living environment and the low rise footprint maintains an essential human scale with ascending structures, walkways, and pools that maximize the dynamic views.
With limited direct waterfront access, EDSA derived a system of terraced landforms and lagoons creating more than 19 miles of new shoreline. The interconnected saltwater network transforms the overall landscape with new commercial and leisure opportunities, maximizes land values, and provides far-reaching economic benefits. EDSA was awarded the master plan following participation in an international design competition. EDSA also provided schematic and detailed design for Phase 1 which includes the marina village, Hyatt Hotel and luxury residences.
