Inspired by the charm of Victorian architecture and traditional neighborhood design, the residential village is a combination of cottages and beachside homes. Scenic walkways, pedestrian-friendly streets and open parks offer a sense of connection while structure is created by the main street on a view axis from the entrance to the water. Secondary streets meld with the natural character, meadow and woodland quality of the surroundings. By balancing the human need for quality of life with environmental, social and economic sustainability, emphasis was placed on the smallest details to larger elements. Amenities for the community include a private beach, two signature golf courses, shopping and dining alternatives, beach club and fitness center.
EDSA was initially commissioned to revise the overall land use plan for the Bay Creek community. After providing the client with a series of development recommendations, EDSA was requested to provide additional planning and design development services for the Bayside neighborhood as well as detailed design for common areas, parks and the Beach Club. EDSA also collaborated with Historical Concepts on the architecture and pattern book.
