Central Broward East-West Transit

The purpose of this Central Broward East-West Transit Alternatives Analysis was to assess the large number of transit initiatives currently being considered in Central Broward County and to present the County with a transit system serving east-west travel that is not only feasible from engineering and public acceptance perspectives, but is also fundable. The Study supports economic development goals of the region and local land use plans to improve transit choices that appeal to a larger population base. This in turn will get more people out of their cars thus reducing congestion and vehicle emissions.

EDSA assisted in the development of the planning and design of prototypical stations along the proposed transit alignments. EDSA was involved in the public consensus building process to gather public input, including preparation of presentation materials, newsletters and web page design.
