Changshan Archipelago Tourism Plan
Changshan International Islands Vision Plan was a large scale visioning and tourism planning effort led by the EDSA team for the Dalian Haichang Real Estate Changshan Archipelago Group. The goal of the project was to establish a cohesive vision and preliminary master plan for a series of undeveloped islands set in the Bohai Sea of the coast of Dalian in the Liaoning Province.
This archipelago, defined by the Guanglu, Gexian, Sali, Gua pi and Xiao Changshan Islands, represents a unique opportunity to develop a premier waterfront tourism destination for Northeast China. With over 85km of coastline, the islands possess great beauty, natural harbors, and a unique local heritage which complements the diverse recreational and resort program. The overall destination includes planning for over 10 hotels and resort offerings, conference centers, three 18 hole golf courses, marinas, waterfront markets, and many exclusive beach front destinations. A complement to the development program, the Changshan International Islands proudly maintain their fishing culture, with modernized facilities, research institutions, rejuvenated public waterfronts, and public market and commercial centers.
EDSA was responsible for master planning and vision planning services.
