Fort Lauderdale Beach Revitalization

The Beach Revitalization project’s goal was to create a completely new urban image which would reduce the city’s association with the college masses of spring break, stimulate complementary private sector redevelopment and re-establish Fort Lauderdale Beach as a world-class destination resort. The beach features a beachfront promenade with fiber optic wave wall and pedestrian portals with drop-off facilities servicing new satellite off-street parking for beach goers.

EDSA led a team of consultants through public consensus building and master planning services, culminating in detailed design and construction related services for 1.5 miles of the world-famous Fort Lauderdale beachfront. The revitalization effort generated over $1 billion in private sector investments within the first 10 years of completion.
