As one of the first major private investments in the Yunnan Province and centerpiece of China’s overall tourism initiative, the resort celebrates the regional character and cultural traditions of its picturesque surroundings. The design establishes a rich and rewarding environment for all guests, incorporating the highest sustainability standards and showcasing its agricultural ties with well-appointed landscaped gardens and a serene bamboo forest. Taking advantage of rolling hillsides and panoramic views, EDSA utilized the traditional forms of Mediterranean hillside towns to strategically site buildings within the existing topography.
