Ishigaki Island Resort

Capitalizing on exceptional topography and a stunning natural setting, the resort destination will set the standard for luxury in the region and catalyze the region’s burgeoning travel and tourist industry. Careful analysis of the site on both a large and small scale, resulted in a master plan that effectively integrates the resort into the natural environment with innovative design concepts will directly affect the outward appearance of the entire development. The dynamic coastline of coral reefs, coves, rock croppings and peninsula formations served as the inspiration for the resort character, while ancient ruins on the site were preserved as part of the site’s history. Preliminary phases of development include an internationally branded resort hotel, ownership villas, world class amenities and a village center, while later phases outline an 18-hole golf course, golf club, hillside villas, spa and beach club.

EDSA’s master plan and conceptual design defined the unique attributes of the project and served as the basis for the further development approvals and additional development endeavors.
