Madinat Jumeirah Resort

Credited with raising the bar in cultural contextual design by recreating life as it used to be for residents along Dubai Creek, Madinat Jumeirah gracefully celebrates history. Complete with waterways, abras, wind towers and a bustling souk, the $1.2 billion project is one of the largest and best known destinations in Dubai. A total of 940 rooms were positioned throughout the site, offering guests views of resort activities, waterways, gardens, private beaches and/or the Arabian Sea. The modern day oasis of Old Dubai includes a cultural village with museum, souk-style retail complex, an extensive range of restaurants, bars, and cafes, a 9,000-square meter fully equipped convention center, and the largest spa and fitness center in the region (Talise Wellness Spa). EDSA was awarded a 2009 Florida Chapter ASLA Award of Excellence for Madinat Jumeirah.

EDSA was involved in the planning and design of the project since its inception and continued to work nonstop through design development and construction administration.
