A cross between a tropical village and bustling harbor, the addition of Marina Village to Atlantis provides a venue for shopping and dining as well as a supplementary amenity for those staying at the resort or visiting the island for the day. Themed as a quaint Bahamian marketplace with a cohesive palette of pastel colors and colonial-styling, Marina Village is authenticated with variations in materials, paving patterns, and draining methods. Colorful paved walkways, unique architecture, lofty coconut trees, boldly painted buildings, and lush vegetation combine to create a spirited and genuine Bahamian setting. Three main plazas are connected by walkways providing visitors with a sense of place, scale and orientation. The animated 65,000 square-foot bazaar features 21 retail shops and five core restaurants, as well as local entertainment and outdoor gathering spaces. A collection of carts add to the cultural flavor and feature local products and crafts that showcase the artistry and energy of the island.
