Medina al Sarab Lagoon

Perhaps one of the most aggressive and ambitious projects in the entire Middle East region is the Medina al Sarab project in Bahrain. On a 202.4-hectare site of open water, 9 meters deep between the urban areas of Al Manama and Al Muharraq, is the proposed site of the project. A massive land reclamation project between the existing First Causeway and the Sheikh Isa Al Khalifa Causeway, this project is a visionary concept with a wide variety of elements provided to boost the economy and international tourism.

EDSA provided conceptual design and master planning services for this project. The program includes, but is not limited to the following elements a conceptual theme for the entire project, various hotels of different standards to meet defined market needs, appropriate retail precincts in respective zones, commercial and office facilities, marinas of different sizes and berthing facilities, themeparks/entertainment area aquarium, residential apartments, park and recreational areas waterfront promenades and walkway, restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and related shops
