Mohammed Bin Zayed City Master Plan

EDSA developed Public Landscape Concepts and Design Guidelines, which define a qualitative standard for the pedestrian and public realm environment within Mohammed Bin Zayed City. The guidelines direct the design of future public improvements with the intent of altering the existing streets and roadways. The overarching intent of this document is that the concepts are implemented in a way to achieve the Estidama goal of all streets becoming safe and pleasant places for pedestrians of all ages and abilities. In order to realize this goal, the guidelines focus on achieving a series of specific objectives related to the areas of material form, nature, and order of priorities. The guidelines address the treatment of proposed and existing streets, parks and other public realm concepts to create vibrant residential and commercial neighborhoods with quality connections and circulation nodes that will help transform how people live and behave in all public areas of MBZ City and potentially throughout all of Abu Dhabi.
