Montage Royal Island

Royal Island boasts the largest protected deep-water marina in the Caribbean, and, accordingly, EDSA developed a resort to embrace both the surrounding sea and the protected bay waters. Set at the top of the island’s crest, the hotel will enjoy 360 degree views over surrounding low-scale resort structures. A lively mixed-use marina village, with approximately 25,000 square feet of retail space, will open to a harbor housing 200 ships. An intimate boutique hotel and spa will be surrounded by hotel and ownership villas. The architecture will offer a contemporary take on the traditional island vernacular, with monumental stonework, teak trellises and deep overhangs transitioning to simpler, more modern lines. On the east end of the island, the resort includes a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course, golf club, and Nicklaus home.

EDSA was involved with the master planning through detailed design services for the resort, including construction related services associated with the sales village. In addition, EDSA provided full services for all components of the resort, ownership villas, residential product, golf club and Nicklaus home.
