Sandy Lane

From the moment its first guests were welcomed in 1961, on what was formerly a sugar cane plantation, Sandy Lane has been considered the premier address in the Caribbean. Nestled in a grove of mahogany trees on the west coast of Barbados, the resort has been rebuilt to authentic standards with the same character as its original structures. As part of the renovation, careful attention was placed on detailing to recapture the genuine ambiance and preserve the integrity of the previous design. The destination offers a 112-room resort hotel, a 30,000 square-foot treatment spa, a tennis center with nine lighted courts, an 8,000 square-foot mosaic tile pool, 36 holes of Tom Fazio golf, and various beach sports.

EDSA provided master planning services, as well as site layout, conceptual plans and detailed site work, which included spa pools and fountains, marble terraces, softscaping, foot paths, special gardens, and the main entry features.
