St. Regis Punta Mita Resort

Flanked by two Jack Nicklaus signature finishing golf holes, the 120-key, 5-star hotel offers 40 fractional units, 15 full ownership villas, 3 pools and a world class spa and treatment facility. The design vernacular showcases the native landscape and uses regional hardscape materials in such a way that guests learn about the culture and history of the site. Exteriors and interiors flow together making nature the most important component. A series of outdoor rooms or scenes guide guests from one space to another through a composition of textures, forms and colors that trigger the senses. The arrival area and common facilities were raised allowing for the non-conspicuous positioning of service areas beneath. Respecting the natural topography, units are laid out in a u-shape shape stepping down from the arrival area. Purposeful design allows for runoff water to be collected and used for irrigation while buildings are of a low-density casitas style to match the adjacent tree line and preserve unrestricted views.
