Overview

With a sprawling campus and presence in nine countries, Nova Southeastern University is Thomas Jefferson’s modern embodiment of an intellectual and cultural hub. Improvements to the campus focused on the spaces between buildings and the creation of a ‘Living Master Plan’. Design elements address spatial unity and circulation, while balancing a hierarchy of open spaces.

Complementing its academics, ensuring economic viability, engaging the community, and respecting the natural environment. EDSA has been the Campus Planner for NSU since 1992. Efforts have included the Medical and Business Schools, Mailman Segal Institute, Family Center Village, Center for Collaborative Research, Transportation Center, Residence Hall, and University Center. Design guidelines were also developed and adapted.

EDSA continues to play a large role in the evolution and growth of the campus.

Master Plan

Defined by spiraling nautilus forms and shark-themed water features, a cohesive core connects users to vital campus locations and multi-functional outdoor spaces that are adaptable, social, and stimulating. Visionary in its scope, the master plan lays the framework for future development and strengths the brand.
