“Good design conveys a sense of meaning and allows people to develop an identification and attachment to the physical and social environment.”

Lei Xiao PLA

Vice President

Working at the intersection of art, design, economics and urban theory, Lei facilitates the growth and redevelopment of communities. Focused on allowing ecological and social principles to inform how the landscape takes shape, she has an ability to graphically articulate a project’s vision to clients. Lei creates functional, responsive and enduring landscapes that utilize the dynamics of nature as a fundamental design element. Relying on the study and evaluation of environmental conditions, historic impacts and user needs as the steppingstones for a design strategy, Lei skillfully blends surrounding cultures and site attributes into successful outdoor environments.
