Designing from the unique perspective of preservation, resiliency and a need for people and nature to co-exist results in places that not only honor the environment but offer more authentic and culturally rich experiences for all.

Christopher Gates PLA

Vice President

During his successful career, Chris has designed and managed a wide range of projects in collaboration with architects, engineers and ecologists. From residential gardens and public parks to university campuses, Chris blends strong design skills with a sensitivity to environmental settings and construction realities to create places that are commercially viable, sustainable, dynamic and progressive. His practical approach provides the necessary intuition when shifting scales between master planning and detailed design. With interests rooted strongly in working with natural materials and their local and regional influence, Chris create timeless outdoor spaces with layered textures, focal points and elements of surprise that establish a journey of visual interest.
