Overview

Originally built in 1968, the $200 million refurbishment and renovation property centers on a devotion to LEED certification while adding rich amenities and high quality outdoor spaces. Remaining respectful of the iconic South Beach design sensibility and Florida coastal landscape, organic materials, natural elements, indigenous flora, and contemporary textures were used for a naturalistic scheme that effectively blends indoor and outdoor spaces.

The property features 417 hotel rooms, 163 residences, 4 swimming pools, including the largest pool in South Beach, a spa and fitness center, a private beach and a variety of entertainment and dining experiences including a farm-to-table restaurant.

Focusing on the arrival sequence, streetscape, pool areas, beach club, beach walk, and public access points, EDSA effectively articulated the crux of the destination’s character through space, substance, form, and functionality.
