Overview

Flanked by two Jack Nicklaus signature finishing golf holes, the 120-key, 5-star hotel offers 40 fractional units, 15 full ownership villas, 3 pools, and a world-class spa and treatment facility. A series of outdoor room scenes guide guests from one space to another through a composition of textures, forms, and colors.

The de-constructed arrival pavilion and common facilities are raised allowing for the non-conspicuous positioning of service areas beneath. Respecting the natural topography, units are laid out in a u-shape stepping down from the arrival area. Similarly the separation of vehicular, golf, and pedestrian circulation bolsters walkability for an externally focused resort experience. Purposeful design techniques have been implemented to allow for water collection for irrigation, while low-density casitas match the adjacent tree line and preserve unrestricted views. Varying pools for adults, families, and the beach club expand the visitor base with a continued emphasis on the culture, people, and context of place.

Placing heavy emphasis on outdoor entertaining with a light footprint on the land, EDSA was responsible for the conceptual master plan and overall project visioning as well as detailed design services and on-site construction observation.
